A 23-year-old M Tech student committed suicide by hanging with the ceiling at her residence in Park Green Oroin Colony under Kolar police station area on Sunday.
According to the police the deceased Shruti Sharma was found hanging with the ceiling and was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was declared dead.
Police were informed and on the receipt of the information a police team reached the spot and started further investigation.
Police said that the deceased used to live with Deepak Singh and was not present when the deceased committed suicide. He returned at around 11 pm and found that the door was locked but not able to get response when he knocked the door after which entered the house using another key and found the deceased hanging.
The deceased was a resident of Begusarai in Bihar and was pursuing MTech from lNCT College. The reason of the suicide remained unknown and would be investigated said police.
The body was sent for the post mortem after the preliminary investigation. The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
The reason behind the suicide remained unknown. The call record details would be searched.
Deceased’s partner Deepak who hails from Begusarai in Bihar would be questioned regarding the reason behind the suicide.
During the investigation police have recovered a mobile phone and diary which would provide vital clue in determining the reason behind the suicide.
The family members of the deceased were informed by the police and their information could help in the investigation.
