The Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) will be felicitating the advance tax payers in an event to be held on Saturday. A lucky draw will be held for the tax payers wherein they will win prizes for paying the taxes. Suraj Kero, the in-charge of IMC Revenue department informed that every year the lucky draw cum felicitation programme is held for the citizens who pay their property and water taxes in advance before June of every financial year. It is to be noted that the scheme is a hit among citizens and the corporation has seen huge influx of advance taxes over the years.
Kero further informed that the winners of year 2016-17 will be chosen through a lucky draws. During the event Union Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment Thawar Chand Gehlot will be present to mark the occasion. Besides, Mayor Indore Malini laxman Singh Gaud will also be present to distribute the prizes to the winners. The event will be held at IMC revenue department, he informed.
While informing about the prizes, Kero said that for the property tax payers the first prize will be the Alto Car, second prize will be five Honda Activa and the third prize would be five lED television sets.
Besides, those who have paid the water taxes, the first prize would be Honda Active, second prize is four lED television sets and third prize is four washing machines.
