Lost LS polls due to Cong’s factionalism, says Tipanya

Noted Kabir bhajan singer and the Congress candidate Prahlad Tipanya, who recently lost Lok Sabha election from Dewas has credited the defeat to party’s factionalism also claiming upper caste leaders don’t extend support to candidates belonging SC/ST caste.

Tipanya cited reasons behind his defeat during a party deliberation meeting held at Indore on Sunday.

When asked to comment on reasons behind his defeat against BJP’s Mahendra Solanki in Dewas, the noted singer did not mince words saying Congress party organisation did not seem on the ground and was only visible on paper.

He also alleged that ground workers of the party were ignored in the polls, claimed sources.

The singer with internal fame also accused the senior party leaders of being aloof to the ground realities and added the party lacked workers with dedication.

Tipanya also went on to claim that senior party leaders also offer enough support to candidates from SC/ST categories which he felt in lok sabha polls.

Tipanya declined to repeat his accusations to media persons, but claimed whatever he has said has claimed on the basis of post poll feedback from the region.

And the feedback also justifies the election outcome, he claimed.
