If you want to survive in this industry then you have to be a good actor, looks aren’t that important, says a young television actor Karan Sharma.

Karan was in Bhopal on Tuesday to promote his upcoming television series ‘Mohi’ to be aired on Star Plus. On his visit to city, he had a candid talk with the media persons about his journey and the new television series Mohi.

Notably, Star Plus has come with a completely new proposition centered on a tribal girl wanting to make it big in the city. Produced by White Horse Productions, ‘Mohi’ is a unique tale from a remote village that chronicles the journey of a young tribal girl who dreams of becoming a doctor.

Karan will be seen essaying the lead character Ayush opposite Mohi in the show. He spoke about what makes the show so different and why ‘Mohi’ will be something that today’s audience will surely relate to. It’s her passion that plays the driving force leading Mohi to live by her dream of making it to the top despite the odds.

Karan said, “My character Ayush is a struggling photo-journalist who is waiting for his big break in life. Pressured by the conventional norms of society, he feels this need to prove himself and is in a constant struggle, trying to figure out where to channelise his energies and passion. I think that Ayush’s predicament of an early quarter-life crisis is characteristic of today’s generation as we are often stuck in an internal confusion regarding life and what we truly want from it.”

It addresses a very prevalent issue in today’s youth” The character of Mohi is a young bright girl who has inherited the gift of healing from her family but feels helpless when the lack of modern facilities and knowledge hold her back. She will be seen nurturing a wish to go to the city and become a doctor. In the pursuit of following his own dreams, Ayush will end up in Mohi’s village and life’s strange interplay will weave the lives of these two distinct individuals together.

About his visit to Bhopal Karan said, “This is my first trip to Bhopal and I loved it.” Karan also visited upper lake and took the pleasure of scenic beauty of the city.
