The Bhopal Lokayukta team has caught two clerks of Naib Tehsildar's officer taking bribe of Rs 50000.
Lakshmi Narayan Mishra clerk and Aditya Jhangale were caught taking Rs.50000. Both had demanded bribe to get the land renamed. They had asked for money after talking about bribing the Naib Tehsildar. The Lokayukta team will also investigate the role of Naib Tehsildars.
Lokayukta SP Manu Vyas said that Misrod resident Sachin Sen had complained to the office of Superintendent of Police, Lokayukta Organization, Bhopal. He told that his acquaintances Omprakash Meena and Bablu Meena are residents of Kolar. He got the case of death of both of them transferred from his acquaintance lawyer.
Both the cases were pending in the court of Naib Tehsildar Shivangi Khare for 6 months. Babu Lakshminarayan Mishra, who was posted in the office of Naib Tehsildar, had demanded a bribe of Rs 50,000 for a file in the name of giving it to Naib Tehsildar, to get orders in these cases. Without taking bribe, they are keeping the file pending.
SP Manu Vyas got the complaint verified by Inspector Rajni Tiwari. On finding the complaint correct, the team laid a trap to nab Babu. On Monday, as soon as the complainant gave Rs 50 to Babu, the team caught him red-handed.
On March 24, Omprakash Patidar, a resident of Patle Sadan, Misrod, made a written complaint that he practices law apart from farming. Through the applicant, advocate Pankaj Srivastava got the case of land transfer of Meena Visht resident Nayapura Kolar in the office of Naib Tehsildar Bairagarh Chichli Aditya Jhangale. Bisht's nomination, Fauti's nomination and Batan's file were pending in this office.
