local dialects/languages are being compiled to impart teaching in mother tongue as per rules of Children's Right to Free and Compulsory Education Act in Madhya Pradesh. The State Government has directed all district collectors to ensure action in this regard by September 30.

As per the Act, "Education Should Be Imparted in Mother Tongue As Far As Possible". To fulfill this requirement, various local dialects/languages are being compiled from State to school level to impart teaching to primary level students.

In districts, DIET principals will make available list of experts and academics of existing language/dialects. If any work has already been done in this regard then its copy will also be provided. If any work has been done on dialect/language's vocabulary and grammar, its details will also be made available.

Study report about impact of teaching in local dialect/language on students' academic status will also be prepared. Comparative study about impact on teaching in Hindi and local dialect/language will be made at DIET level.

District collectors have also been asked to direct concerned persons to make available in prescribed proforma the details of dialect/language being provided by students or their families. Directives have been given to send compiled information's hard copy to Rajya Shiksha Kendra and soft copy to rsk.curriculum@gmail.com, positively.
