Loan waiver spat goes on twitter

The verbal spat over farm loan waiver now shifted to twitter in Madhya Pradesh as former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan continued attacking Kamal Nath Government saying the loan waiver was merely an eyewash.

Nath too resorted saying Chouhan is unaware that loans of his kin have been waived off and he was talking about the entire state.

Starting the assault, Chouhan had wrote on twitter that Kamal Nath government should stop lying claiming that his brother did not apply for loan waiver so how some his loan was waived off. He also pointed out the state government had made it clear those filing Income Tax won’t be extended benefits of the scheme so how the loans of his brother was waived off.

He was replying to Nath’s tweet in which the Chief Minister claimed that Congress government had waived off loans of 21 lakh farmers and even Shivraj Singh Chouhan had accepted that his brother’s loan was waived off.

Meanwhile, Chouhan continued his assault saying first order of loan waiver was wrong as the state government had announced to waive off all loans upto Rs two lakh while later it emerged that crop loans upto Rs two lakh would be written off. The former Chief Minister who is extremely critical of Congress loan waiver further tweeted that Kamal Nath was yet to furnish no dues certificates and loan would not be considered waived off unless no dues certificates is offered to farmers by the banks.

He also asked Kamal Nath to furnish UTR numbers of bank transactions which are used to transfer money to the bank accounts. He also warned the Chief Minister saying farmers are basis of state’s prosperity and if you would cheat them, then the state and country won’t forgive you.

Nath on Friday also had tweeted that farm loans of Chouhan’s kin –Nirnajan and Rohit, have been waived off but the latter had no idea about this.
