laxmibai National Institution of Physical Education (lNIPE) has celebrated its Diamond Jubilee function on its 60th Foundation on Thursday.
like every year, this year Inter Moral games were inaugurated and during this occasion Injeti Shrinivas (former DG Sports Authority of India) was the Chief Guest.
Vice-Chancellor of lNIPE Professor Durah welcomed Chief Guest Injeti followed by Registrar Professor Vivek Pandey honoured Professor Ghai. KK Sahu also honoured the distinguished guests. Vice-Chancellor of lNIPE Professor Dilip Durah addressed the gathering and welcomed the guests and said that they have taken out their valuable time to spend on the occasion of Diamond Jubilee of lNIPE.
He further stated that this organisation started in a tent and then PM Joseph has taken the proposal to the Central Government. Along with Joseph, there were several former students who have contributed to build this organisation. The former students who have seen the journey of laxmibai National Council of Physical Education to laxmibai National Institution of Physical Education and went to abroad then they always tried to find their respective students of this organisation and felt great amongst them.
Chief Guest Srinivas declared the Inter Moral games open and the team of five judges was formed for the Inter Moral March Past competition. Poonam Pandey, Aradhana Durah, Colonel JS Diwan, lieutenant Colonel Sarma and Vaidh were amongst the judges. Eight houses including Shivaji house, Pratap House, Arobindo House, Subhash House, Azad House, Teresa House, Padmini House and Sorojini House, marched past.
All the students of their respective houses boost the morale of the participants and also the former students too among them. During the March Past Salute was given to Chief Guest. Seventh Mehar Battalion Jawans have given the special presentation. Students have displayed the rehearsal of FIFA under 17 World cup and later Chief Guest has redemption the Yearly Magazine and addressed the gathering.
Chief Guest said that Physical Education and Sports Science have its peculiar aspects in our life and it is very important for us. Srinivas stressed that Physical Education and Sports Science should be treated as the part of education and we have to change our trend as it develops the personality of students more. It also helps in developed the youth to build their body, sharp Mind, discipline and strong and positive intensity among the students. He has also said that in our Geeta it has written that Concentration is must to achieve goal and physical education requires the same and through sports also one can achieve GOD.
