Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Kamleshwar Patel said that a livelihood activity plan of each member of the group will be prepared with the objective of connecting the livelihood mission groups to the economic activities. Based on this, a work plan of livelihood activities at the village organization level will be prepared from August 15 to October 2. Activities will be started after approval in the Gram Sabhas.
Livelihood activities are to be started on a large scale through convergence in projects like Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, Bamboo Mission and Mahatma Gandhi Employment Guarantee Scheme and other government schemes. For this, the livelihood activity plan of the houses of beneficiaries belonging to the groups of the Mission is being prepared at village organization level. The activities related to cultivable land with the group members in the village and their interests will be mentioned in the village organization level livelihood activity work plan.
The community will decide on which activity among the activities marked by the community in the work plan has to be started first on the basis of priority. District-level trainers marked for the implementation of the work plan are being imparted training.
About 27.35 lakh families have been linked through nearly 2.40 lakh self-help groups to the State Rural Livelihood Mission. The Mission is also working towards strengthening the rural poor women economically.
