The Indian-Made Foreign liquor (IMFl) shop in Pithampur municipality area, which was earlier situated at Eicher Square service road, has been shifted to an accident prone area now. The shop is now situated on the Mhow-Neemuch four-lane CC power T shape intersection, which is highly accidental prone area and two days back, three youths lost their lives when their bike was crushed by the speeding truck. The intersection is in form of T shape and there is no direct road to reach the liquor shop. For the persons coming from the Pithampur side to Mhow, the nearest distance is around one km to reach at the shop through service road, which passes under the over bridge coming from Mhow and again going back towards Pithampur.

But at the T intersection, the persons try to directly reach the shop crossing the four-lane vertically and meet with accidents. locals demand that the shop should be shifted from this place to some open place and away from the side of four lane highway as it will create the regular traffic jam and accidents. The Supreme Court has given clear order that all the liquor shop will be 100 meters away from the highway.  SDM Pithampur Neeraj Singh told The Pioneer that he will look into the matter. CSP Pithampur Vikram Singh said that he would issue notice to the English wine shop owner for traffic disturbance and risking the life of the passerby passing through the four-lane.  The liquor shop of Pigdamber, Simrole, Choral, Gawli Palasia and Banjaari are also running besides the highways thus disobeying the Supreme Court orders of English wine shop should be 100 meters from the highways.
