The life of the actors and the real world of theatres, the play Rehearsal Jari Hai unveils the actual story told back stage.
The play Rehearsal Jari Hai was staged at Shaheed Bhavan Auditorium on the second day of a three-day theatre festival ‘Vibha Mishra Smiriti Natya Samaroh-2014’ being organised by Trikarshi Group.Directed by Rashmi Acharya, scripted by Sunil Kumar Singh, the play was presented by Trikarshi Theatre group, Bhopal.
The play revolves around a protagonist Heera. He was a spot in a theatre group, but was fond of acting. He had a wish to act on stage as he was much fascinated with the world of theatres. So whenever he gets time from his work, he practiced the dialogues on a vacant stage in alone. One day, the theatre director notices him practicing and scolded him. He asked Heera to concentrate on work he is being paid for.
However, play is divided into two parts. In first part rehearsal of play takes place. The twist comes in play when the hero of show denies acting on the same day of the show as he demanded more pay than he was agreed on before.It was then Heera who finally receives an opportunity for playing the role of hero. He plays his role very well and received much appreciation from director and whole team as well. The play ends with director’s dialogue. He says to audience that “We didn’t do show but believed on such an honest person who did rehearsal first time on stage. It happens sometimes not every time because it’s a theatre. No place of retake here, so rehearsal is still going on.”
“It is first show of this production and I have got chance to direct the play for the first time. Theatre is based on team work and my team gave me full support. Moreover, this play is very near to life. No work is small or big, we need to do our work honestly”, said Rashmi Acharya, young director of this play. With a different concept the play was presented enthusiastically that received much appreciation by the audiences.
