A German theatre workshop, ‘let’s Play,’ would be organised at Swami Vivekananda library on May 12. As the German language has completed its 100 years in the country, a workshop on German theatre is being organised with the collaboration of a German Institute, Max Muller Bhavan, New Delhi.

Further, for past four years, Swami Vivekananda library is also offering German language training to the students of Bhopal. So to observe this occasion the library would make the students aware about the basics of German theatre.

A German theatre artist Judith Manqué would address the workshop. The participants would learn how to express themselves on stage before the audience. This would also include some fun games, theatre based games and other techniques.

The workshop is open for the students of 10 to 13 years and it would be conducted only in English language. Interestingly, it is not necessary that the participant in the workshop should be aware of the spoken German language and should know a bit of it as it would be addressed in English language.

During the workshop, the students would also be acquainted about the history of German language and also how it was introduced in India in 1914. Moreover, interestingly, the young students would also be able to explore the creativity which is used in German theatres and how it is performed.

Notably, two workshops would be held on May 12. Each workshop would be conducted for total 90 minutes. Further, each batch would have only 50 participants and the last date to register the names for the workshop is May 10.
