Madhya Pradesh assembly speaker Sitasaran Sharma while addressing the 78th All India Presiding Officers convention at Gandhi Nagar – Gujarat said, “The members of the legislative councils should practice discipline in their conduct to protect the democratic values and people’s faith in legislature. This is utmost necessity.”
Sharma was speaking on first day of the three-day conference of presiding officers on Jan 21 in Gandhi Nagar . He was speaking on the topic ‘Role of legislature in maintaining faith of people on democratic institutions and presiding officers research initiative. He mentioned serious discussions should take place in the legislative houses. lok Sabha speaker Sumitra Mahajan inaugurated the 78th All India Presiding Officers convention. Besides Sharma, deputy speaker of MP assembly Rajendra Prasad is also taking part in the conference.k
