In the last three decades there had been big conspiracy to acquire Government land. The official Government records were doctored with mala fide intentions. Private entries were made in Government khasra with the conspiracy of revenue officers and record room employees.
Now these types of Government lands are under the lens as the district administration has pulled up the socks to take action and decided to appeal in the courts - from lower court to the Supreme Court.
On this issue, Gwalior Collector Sanjay Goyal has conducted the meeting with all SDMs and additional Collectors. He has instructed to prepare the list of Government lands on the issues which are pending with the lower courts and Supreme Court and also to prepare list of cases the Government has lost in courts. In all these issues, appeal through Gwalior Collector is going to be filed for objection.
Notably, the Govt had lost case related to its land situated at proposed loha Mandi at Chirwai Naka near Shivpuri link road, in the Supreme Court. When the case came to fore, it was found that the advocates and the officials of Gwalior Development Auhtority (GDA) had failed to plead the case properly in the court.
Within stipulated time, evidences were not produced in the Supreme Court and due to this poor carelessness, Govt’s enthusiastic planning and time was wasted but on the other hand Iron Businessmen have wasted `4 crore and time.
The GDA has taken this amount from the businessmen to book the plot and it is more than `4 crore.
The district administration department has learnt a lesson from this incident.
