In the wake of amendment in the Madhya Pradesh Minor Mineral Rules, lease period for mines have been extended enabling auction of Government stone quarries for five years henceforth.
lease period for mines for setting up of stone crushers has been extended to 10 years and mines for cutting-polishing to 15 years.
The MP Sand Excavation Policy, 2015, has been formulated. Now, sand areas have been reserved in 18 districts, which would be managed by the Madhya Pradesh State Minerals Corporation limited, an official release said. The corporation has auctioned sand mines through e-tendering under which the quantum of bids has increased manifold compared to previous years. Sand mines in the State are being e-auctioned.
