leader of the Opposition in the State Assembly Ajay Singh has alleged that the law and order situation is worsening in Madhya Pradesh, while the Chief Minister and the Home Minister are busy in terming farmers involved in agitation as smugglers.
He said that the law and order situation in the State is in the hands of criminals and thus peace in Madhya Pradesh is possible only at their will.
Nowadays, the State capital is facing heinous crimes like murders, abductions and dacoities and the State government has no check on these incidents.
Commenting on the daylight murder reported at Jawahar Chowk locality, Singh stated that Jawahar Chowk locality is one of the busiest places in new Bhopal. The scene of crime is only few yards from the police outpost. Besides, there are police patrolling vehicle (Dial 100) ARE available at several points of the city.
However, the miscreants committed the crime smoothly and fled the scene. like any other incidents, police team reached the spot late. In such a situation, Singh felt that the students from other cities and States studying in Bhopal are not safe.
He also pointed out the recent incident of communal violence in the old city areas. Besides, recently in Alirajpur and Chhipaner (Sehore district), communal violence incidents have been reported.
Singh alleged that the sand mafia was already on the spree in Bhopal and with such crimes talking place in different places, it seemed that people of the State are not safe. “The officials instead of taking stern action against the criminals, engaged in only saving their skins,” he alleged.
