The Madhya Pradesh State Haj Committee (MPSHC) Chairman and member of Haj Committee of India (HCI), Haaji Inayat Hussain Qureshi said that in view of the ongoing Ramazan as well as the representations received from various quarters, the last date for remittance of balance Haj amount is hereby extended up to July 18, 2016.
Previously, the last date was fixed as July 2, 2016. He further said that in the Zone -III which includes MP, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Chhattisgarh and Odisha, the request for extension was made by the Chairman
which was accepted and extended till July 18.
He has requested all, who wishes to go on Haj, to immediately submit their last installment so that they do not have to face any difficulty while traveling.
Meanwhile, Qurrah of 200 Haj seats in Mehram category was also held. Initially 537 eligible applications were received from State Haj Committees under Mehram quota. A draw of lots (Qurrah) was conducted on June 22, 2016 to select applications.
The selected applicants should submit their Haj application forms, passports along with pay-in-slip of entire amount to the concerned State Haj Committee on or before July 4, 2016.
The State Haj Committees should forward the Haj application forms, passports with pay-in-slip of all selected applicants to Haj Committee of India on or before July 11, 2016.
Besides, Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India has communicated that the discretionary quota of 75 seats earmarked for Prime Minister is to be distributed to wait listed pilgrims of Haj-2016. Further, 2175 seats have become available due to cancellation received from various States out of which 475 seats are from under quota states.
The provisionally selected pilgrims have to deposit the Haj amount as per their category of accommodation and embarkation point, online at hajcommittee.gov.in or in the Haj Committee of India’s account number 32175020010 Fee Type -25 maintained with SBI or account number 318702010406009 (Haj account) maintained with UBI through any branch of SBI/UBI having core banking system.
