A 24-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by her landlord at Karond under Nishatpura police station. On the basis of victim’s complaint, a case has been registered on Monday under relevant sections of IPC.
The accused has been identified as Mahesh Yadav.
As per the complaint, she was sexually assaulted in 2013 on the basis of false promise of marriage and when she asked for marriage, the alleged accused escaped with excuses. He later refused to marry her and threatened her of dire consequences which had led victim to file a complaint against him with the police station concerned.
The police have registered a case under sections 376 and 506 of the IPC have started further investigation into the matter.
After the complaint was lodged accused escaped the house and is still missing. Details of the accused has been searched which could help in revealing the whereabouts of the accused and his crime record is also investigated, said police.
Meanwhile, a 21-year-old girl was molested by a miscreant near vegetable market under Jehangirabad police station area on Monday. A complaint was lodged by victim with the Jehangirabad police after the incident in the evening.
According to the police accused Aman Chourasia molested the victim and she reported the same to her family and a complaint was lodged with the police. The victim stated that accused held her hand and had molested her in the past. The police have registered a case under section 354 and 506 of the IPC and started further investigation.
