The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has alleged that opposition to the land Acquisition Bill is a political tool of the Opposition parties, particularly of the Congress party. BJP Madhya Pradesh president and MP Nandkumar Singh Chouhan in a statement on Sunday said, “When country got freedom then there were 11 crore farmers who used to do farming on 141 million hectare of land while there were 7.5 crore farming labors. But, in 1991 the farming land increased marginally and became 143 million hectare but the number of farmers came down to 10 crore and the number of farming labours also increased to 9 crore. By reaching to 2014 the farming land reduced to 139 million hectare.”
Chouhan further said that the land went in possession of industrial houses that also acquired loans worth Rs20 lakh crore from the banks, but only 20 per cent of these industrial houses came into production. The farmers suffered real loss by losing lands and becoming unemployed. In place of taking responsibility of this, the Opposition parties, especially the Congress is opposing the land Acquisition Bill that is not only injustice with the farmers, but also fraud with the farming community of the country, he added.
He said that since the Narendra Modi Government came to power at the Centre, the atmosphere of disappointment has finished in the country and new hopes have been generated, because the Union Government by taking quick decisions started production revolution.
The second roadmap of the green revolution has been prepared. Congress only made farmers a façade of its politics. Implementation of all round revolution has been started in the country. In saffron energy revolution, in green colour the green revolution and in the white colour white revolution and by blue colour of Ashok Chakra community revolution has been started, he added.
