late Monday night at least seven masked miscreants barged into the house in lake Place colony located on Aerodrom road, looted valuables and cash worth thousands of rupees by terrorising family members of the house.
The incident occurred in the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday at around 2.30 am when about 7-8 masked miscreants barged into the house of Rajendra Singh at lake Place colony in Aerodrome locality by breaking open window grill of the house.
Hearing noise, Rajendra Singh who was in the house along with his wife Usha Singh and a four-year-old daughter got awake. The miscreants seeing the family members awake, terrorized them with stones and knife, threatening them of dire consequences if they raised any alarm.
Thereafter, they snatched two gold rings from fingers and Rsmangal sutra’ from the neck of Usha Chouhan, wife of the house owner, besides looting mobile phones, cameras, children cloths, other ornaments and a cash of Rs 21,000 from the almirah.
The victim Rajendra Singh, whose house was robbed, is a driver with Sanghi Brothers.
The miscreants also had their dinner by locking both husband and wife in a room. From there, the miscreants entered the adjoining house of one Mukesh Dikshit by breaking open lock of the house and made away with cash and jewelries. At the time of incident, there was no one in the house.
The victim Usha Chouhan, whose house was robbed, said after leaving from the house, the miscreants locked the house from outside before fleeing.
