The passengers of South-bound trains are facing problems with the lacklustre attitude of the West-Central railways. The passengers and their relatives are not getting any information regarding the trains that have been diverted.
The West Central Railways have partially cancelled a couple of trains, while diverted several trains that were to pass through Nagpur. The situation occurred after the heavy rains washed away the track between Sindi and Tujalpur stations of Nagpur division.
After the natures fury the negligence was prevalent in the railway authorities who were not ready to provide necessary information. The website of railways- trainenquiry.com, which is meant for providing real time information of the trains, does not have the information about the trains that have been diverted.
However, when Public Relation Officer of Bhopal division of West Central Railway KK Dubey, he told that the information can be received only through the website. When he was apprised that the website has failed in providing such information, he bluntly stated that he can not give any information, since he was attending a function in Shivpuri.
Besides, the helpline number- 0755-4001608 for Bhopal, which has been publicised by the Railways, also failed to answer the repeated calls.
Similarly, the railways enquiry number 139, also failed to provide any information. The person attending the call also claimed that he has no information which trains are going where. He suggested that that one should visit the nearby railway station to find the details.
The passengers were left marooned without information of the delay, diversion and cancellation of trains. The only thing a passenger could do it to visit the station and obtain information.
As many as 28 trains were diverted. The only official information received was that Nagpur-Bhusawal (51286) and Nagpur- Amrawati (51260) trains have been cancelled.
