With the apathy of Railways, about 3 lakh people are facing problems as the Kishanganj railway overbridge constructed around a year ago is still waiting for inauguration.

UAD Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya had for the first time won from Mhow in 2008 and had declared that he would get a railway over bridge constructed at Kishanganj. For the purpose, he got Rs 18 crore sanctioned from the State Government.

later, the bridge with the length of 800 metre was constructed on time but railway department delayed the permission of central part of the over bridge which runs above the railway tracks as it is the railway land. After several protests by Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya and his son Aakash Vijayvargiya with Mhow residents, the central part was completed after two years. At present, though the over-bridge has been completed, still waiting to open for common people.

Railway sources said that the Kishanganj over-bridge will be opened after final finishing work and load testing.

During his recent protest, Aakash Vijayvargiya demanded that the bridge should be opened for at least two wheelers and ambulance and light motor vehicles, but the Railways has turned deaf ears on the problem of Mhow residents.

Today also Mhow people have to face a huge traffic jam at Kishanganj railway crossing. People of Mhow have requested from the Government that the Kishanganj railway over bridge should be opened soon for the traffic and Government should name the Kishanganj railway over bridge on the name of veteran Jansangh leader and social worker of Mhow late Krishna Gopal Maheshwari.
