Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang, MLA Rameshwar Sharma and party district president Sumit Pachauri were present during the election process.

The election process started at 3 pm. After Congress councilors objected to the absence of media, the media was allowed entry. For the Chairman, BJP had made ward-28 councilor Kishan Suryawanshi its candidate.

Congress, on the other hand, did not declare a candidate. After a process of about one and a half hours, Collector Avinash Lavania declared Suryavanshi elected president. Suryavanshi took the certificate along with senior leaders, Mayor Malti Rai and senior councilors.
