Indore’s famous landmark Khajrana temple premises will soon have a state-of-the-art kidney centre. The three-storey kidney centre will have the facility of dialysis and kidney transplant and it would be run on PPP model. A decision to this effect was taken in a meeting of the managing committee of the Khajrana temple chaired by the District collector Aakash Tripathi.
The kidney centre which will be equipped with all modern amenities will be given on lease for a period of 30 years but it will remain under the ownership of the Khajrarana temple managing committee. As decided in the meeting, at the kidney centre, patients will be charged nominally for their dialysis and it may be Rs300 per sitting.
The temple managing committee also decided to construct a 100-bedded old age home for the aged persons who have no one to take care of them. The entrance gate would be constructed with stones on the Ring road in such a way that it does not cause any in convenience to the moving traffic on the ring road.
The managing committee while reviewing the security aspects of the temple has decided to install 20 more CCTV cameras in the temple premises in addition to existing 32 CCTV cameras. The district officials while reviewing the ongoing developmental works on the temple premises, sanctioned a sum of Rs39 lakh for concretization of the parking space and laying tiles on the footpath.
