Principal Secretary of Home Department RK Sawai and Additional Director General of Police Sarabjit Singh were also present in the meeting. To ensure fearless voting and to create a secure atmosphere which could encourage voters to vote security arrangements across the State are made and at the same time special security arrangements would be made for the sensitive polling booths and areas.

The instructions given by the election commission should be followed strictly and it should be ensured that the components of the whole system involved in the process should adhere to the rules and instructions.

Action against the anti social elements should be taken without delay and special attention should be paid towards executive pending warrants against the criminals so that they can not create nuisance during the Assembly elections.

Preventive action should be taken against the criminals and firm steps by the police personnel and officers are required.

Availability and deployment of police and security forces was discussed in depth as to maintain law and order during the elections is the top priority of the police.
