Kavya Sharma’s new book talks about sisterhood, mental health, sexual violence, love, compassion and a desperate need to bring about a change in ones life. All seasons alike is a  woman's fiction novel about this girl called Bindiya who lives in a small chawl in Mumbai's Sakinaka area with her mother and grandmother. The story captures her life experiences in trying to break the loop of under-privilege society that she has always been a part of. She becomes Delhi's Shaina from Bombay's Bindiya .

Sharma gave interesting insight into the making of the novel. “Personally for me, this book wasn't easy to write because it comes across as very raw, edgy and hard hitting- deeply reality rooted. It is totally opposite to my usual style of writing. But after my previous book, I wanted to experiment with my writing style too and put whatever knowledge I have gained through my experience and education to use. It took me over a year to write All Seasons Alike because with books like these, as an author I felt I needed my own little breaks," she added.Being a woman herself, the author talks about having an eye to find stories about struggles that a women faces in her life

“I'd be lying if I say No. Being a woman definitely helps in feeling more connected and empathetic towards writing women's stories and struggles. A lot of it can come out of one's own personal experiences as a woman and through exchange with other women.
