The noted Kathak maestro of the city V Anuradha Singh will be showcasing her flair by performing at Bhojpur Utsav to be held at Bhojpur Temple on Monday.
It is to be noted that Singh has performed at various national and international dance festivals as well. It is to be noted that Bhojpur Utsav is an annual festival of Madhya Pradesh. Anuradha about her performance says, “I am really contented to be a part of this programme. I will be performing Kathak on devotional songs. It will be a mesmerising event for dance lovers.”
Anuradha is one of the well known dancers of solo classical Kathak dance. With enchanting stage presence she has earned acclamation for intense and sensitive dance presentations. She has performed solo Kathak internationally in addition to more than 45 prestigious Government organized festivals in India and has also given across the world.
Anuradha hailing from Bhopal is noted Kathak dancer for her innovation and improvisation in traditional Kathak technique. Rhythmic understanding, ability to extemporize with speedy rhythms and preserving pure Kathak classical style are some of her qualities.
Experimenting with classical Sufi Kathak, she has evolved a refined, sophisticated style in pure classical form, based on fast speeds, swift turns, mind thrilling footwork, delicacy of movements and impressive expressions.
She also gave a heart melting performance at Jheel Mahotsav 2015 which was much appreciated. Later, she also performed at the Khajuraho dance festival. She recently performed at Maha Kathak festival held at Ujjain in 2018.
