Being one of the well-known dancers of solo classical Kathak dance, V Anuradha Singh gave a splendid performance. The city Kathak maestro left the people of Pune spellbound with her solo performance on Monday.
The Bhopal Kathak dancer V Anuradha Singh performed at the event ‘Samvedna’ held at Pune on Monday. It was organised by Udgaar group, Pune. She performed the pure kathak dance before the audience leaving the audience totally mesmerised.
It is to be noted that the dancer is known for her spontaneity in chakradhar kathak.
She took rounds on stage so elegantly that the audience could not stop clapping. Anuradha presented Krishna leela with her fantastic abhinay skills in kathak that was much appreciated by the Pune people.
The dance showcased all the acts of Krishna blended with the nau rasa that added charm to her performance.
The audiences were enthralled as they watched the show with rapt attention. It was like a mass treat for them to watch an epic story blended with beautiful moves left the audience mesmerized.
Her innovation and improvisation in traditional Kathak technique is commendable and is appreciated across the globe. Rhythmic understanding, ability to extemporize with speedy rhythms and preserving pure Kathak classical style are some of her qualities.
Experimenting with classical Sufi Kathak, Anuradha has evolved a refined, sophisticated style in pure classical form, based on fast speeds, swift turns, mind thrilling footwork, delicacy of movements and impressive expressions.
