Two dance performances were given at Bharat Bhavan on the second evening of the Bhavanubhav festival based on dance arts organized by Music Center Anhad. On one hand, art lovers got the opportunity to become aware of the nuances of Kathak dance. At the same time, the presentation based on ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu in Bharatnatyam left me mesmerized. At the ceremony, Amita Khare, Shweta Devendra and fellow dancers gave a beautiful presentation focusing on dance and music. In this dance music session which lasted for about two hours, the dancers incorporated various postures of Bharatanatyam along with traditional Kathak in their dance and presented them on stage.

In this, the dancers displayed the ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu like Pisces, Vaman, Parashuram, Varaha, Ram, Krishna etc. In the next phase of the ceremony, Kathak dance performance by Amita Khare took place. Amita started the presentation with Ganesh Vandana. After this, a presentation based on Jhaptal and Miyan Malhar was given.
