Ustad Alauddin Khan Sangeet and Kala Akademi broadcasted the presentation of 'Kathak' by Garvita Dongre, and classical music by Meera Vaishnav on YouTube channel of Madhya Pradesh State Tribal Museum here on Wednesday.
The presentation started with Kathak dance by Garvita Dongre. Dongre started the dance with Shiv Vandana, followed by some lyrics by Pandit Birju Maharaj on Bandishen, Tarana "Na Ghir Dani Dhumtir Dhani", Bhava Performance on "Jage Ho Kahin Raina", Gat Niksha and Krishna Tarana "Kanha Re Nand Nandan". Garvita Dongre started taking dance lessons from Guru Sanghamitra Taywade from the age of three, after that she took formal education of Kathak from Guru Alpana Vajpayee. Garvita is receiving CCRT Scholarship from the year 2014 under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.
The second presentation was a classical 'Gayana' by Meera Vaishnav, in which the delayed khayal (Ektal) "Bundan Bhinje Mori Saari", Chhota Khayal Madhya Lay (Ektal) - Umd Ghumad, Thunderstorm, Tarana (Tintaal), she performed the hymn- "Udho Karman ki Gati Nyari" in "Adere Tan Nana Ta Na Dim" and Kaharwa Taal.
Meera Vaishnav was fond of singing since childhood, so she did BA in Singing and Instrumental, MA in Classical Music. and did Diploma in Sugam Music. Meera's entire education was completed from Indira Kala Sangeet Mahavidyalaya, Khairagarh. Presently you are working in this university as Center President and Music Examiner. Meera is a recipient of Nagar Gaurav Samman, Akademi Shikhar Samman, Sangam Kala Samman, National Ramayana Festival Kala Samman and Kala Sadhana Samman. Meera has given her performance on many prestigious forums of the country.
