BJP general secretary Kailash Vijaywargiya here on Thursday took a potshot on Bollywood actor Amir Khan for his alleged remarks on intolerance.
At a kite flying ceremony organised by his party workers here on Thursday, Vijaywargiya in an oblique reference to Amir Khan and his upcoming movie `Dangal’ said `abhi ek kaa ilaaz hua hai, dusre kaa baki hai’ (while treatment had been given to one actor, similar treatment would be given to another). It may be recalled that Bollywood actor Amir Khan’s upcoming movie Dangal is set to be released in December this year.
Addressing party workers during the kite flying ceremony, the senior BJP leader while commenting on the issue of intolerance, said there is no intolerance either in our society or in our culture. We even worship plants and animals. It irritates me whenever anyone talks about intolerance.
We have to give treatment to those who talk about such issue, Vijaywargiya said adding that while one actor (in an oblique reference to film star Shahrukh Khan, whose recently released movie `Dilwale’ did not do well at the Box Office has already been given treatment, in terms of generating collections), another actor would be given similar treatment. `Dangal’ mein `mangal’ karna hai, the BJP leader said talking about Amir Khan’s upcoming movie `Dangal’.
Sometime back, Vijaywargiya had also taken dig at Shahrukh Khan for his remarks on intolerance, stating that while Shahrukh lives in India and his mind lives in Pakistan. lashing out further at the Bollywood actor, Vijaywargiya had further said that Shahrukh’s jibe on intolerance was akin to talking in tune with anti-India forces. later Vijaywargiya tendered any apology for his remarks on Shahrukh Khan.
