With his development works in Mhow constituency, sitting MLA Kailash Vijayvergiya who is national general secretary of BJP is hopeful to win the next election once again. However, his absence from the constituency is being felt by the people.
His supporters claimed that Vijayvergiya has done development works worth Rs 2500 core. But his margin of votes in the victory remained only around 10000 votes in both the elections of year 2008 and 2013. But in the Lok Sabha election of year 2014 the BJP candidate got the lead of 43,000 votes form Mhow tehsil area.
Political observers feel that it is the failure of Vijayvergiya that he failed to garner remaining 23,000 votes in the last assembly elections. The residents of Mhow of the opinion that a local leader should be elected this time, as being a tall figure in the BJP, he always remains out of the constituency and people are unable to meet him.
In the past, only Akash Vijayvergiya, son of Kailash Vijayvergiya looks after the works, but he too remains present in Indore only. He is also lobbying for ticket in the upcoming election.
The Mhow locals want a candidate who is available for them round the clock in five minutes but to meet Akash they have to travel 25 kms to Indore to meet him. Kailash Vijayvergiya has also set up the ring of local BJP leaders and have made them the head of different parts of Mhow. But the single man leadership in Mhow is missing.
