Madhya Pradesh Cabinet Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya on Saturday conducted a comprehensive inspection of the Indore Metro’s trial run, covering the initial route along the Super Priority Corridor. He was accompanied by Member of Parliament Shankar Lalwani and Indore Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargav. The inspection spanned the stretch from Gandhinagar Station to Super Corridor-03 Station, a key segment of the upcoming metro line.
During the visit, Minister Vijayvargiya engaged in detailed discussions with project officials, offering specific instructions to ensure seamless operations ahead of the metro's full-scale launch. The trial run marks a major milestone in the Indore Metro Project, signaling progress towards commercial operations and showcasing the project’s readiness to serve the city’s growing urban population.
The Indore Metro, with its modern infrastructure and state-of-the-art systems, is poised to revolutionize urban mobility in the city. The 5.90 km Super Priority Corridor has been designed to connect vital areas of Indore, offering fast, efficient, and eco-friendly transport. Though the stations are equipped to handle six-coach trains, initial operations will begin with three-coach sets, with provisions to scale up based on commuter demand.
A significant emphasis has been placed on safety and operational integrity during the trial phase. Officials have conducted thorough evaluations of construction quality, signaling systems, telecommunication infrastructure, and emergency response protocols to ensure full compliance with national standards.
