Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that today is the birth anniversary of Ujjaini. Avantika Nagri een lok se pyari, dekho kitni pyari hai. The pure and pious atmosphere lures many hearts.
Yesterday was Gudi Padwa, it marked the beginning of Vikram Samvat. Vikram Utsav is also being celebrated today. We must remember that our culture is thousands of years old. Vikram Samvat is 57 year older from AD year. Sanatan New Year is starting today and on this day from 2005 we started celebrating Vikramotsav.
Avantika’s Pride day is being celebrated on this day. The universe was created on this day. It has been one billion 95 crore 58 lakh 85 thousand 123 years since the creation of the universe. Ujjain is the city of kalganana. The pride of Ujjain makes everyone proud.
Ujjain has its own religious and cultural background, which has been flourishing since ages. Ujjaini is believed to have existed from the very
beginning of creation. Eras changed and Ujjain has been known by different names like Ujjaini, Avantika,
Kanakshringa etc.
The Chief Minister said that Ujjaini has existed in every kalpa of the universe. In Skanda Purana 6
names of 6 Kalpas of Ujjaini have been given, which are Kanakshringa, Kushasthali, Avantika, Amaravati,
Chudamani and Padmavati kalpawise respectively. That is why Ujjain is also called Pratikalpa. In other texts,
Ujjaini is also addressed by the names of Bhogwati, Hiranyavati, Vishala etc.
Name of all establishments in the city should be in Hindi
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that according to the Avanti khanda of Skanda Purana, Bhagwan
Shiva is installed in the Mahakal forest in Avantika. He said that the shade of the temples is being increased
under the Mahakal Van Project. There will be a cultural revival of Ujjain, a new history of development will
be created. The Chief Minister said that today we will have to take a new resolution. Names of all hotels built
in the city, are written in English. He said that I appeal that the names of all the hotels should be written in
Hindi. Our educational development will happen only with the advancement of our language. Medical
college is coming up in Ujjain. Medical Device Park is coming up in Vikram Udyogpuri. Karnataka
antibiotic industry is also being set up in Ujjain. This will give employment to many people. There will also
be industrial development of Ujjain.
