After the tuneful performance, the Bhopalites witnessed the extravagant Kathakali dance performance. It was performed by Kalamandalam Prasobh along with his troupe members.

They presented the dance on a story of Mahabharata. In the story Arjun is performing austerities of Shiva in the forest for the Pashupat weapon. Shiva and Parvati reach the examination of the hunter and take Arjuna's examination, but at the same time, Duryodhana sends a monkey named Mokasur, carrying a form of pigs and sending Arjuna to death.

Hunters (Shiva disguised as one) reach Arjuna, at the same time the pigs also reach Arjuna for slaughter. Arjun and Shikari (Shiva) attack both arrows on the pig, but the hunter (Shiva) kills the pig. Therefore, war begins in Arjun and Shikari (Shiva) and the hunter is victorious.

After defeat, Arjun creates Shivlinga and offers ballet. In the end Arjun is surprised, when he looks at the helmet of his predecessor, Arjun apologizes. Then Shiva comes in his true form and gives Arjuna a weapon and returns to Kailash.

Kathakali dance presentation was divided into three parts, in the first phase, Arjun was shown doing penance. In the second phase, the presence of Shiva in the form of a hunter was shown and in the third phase, war between Arjun and Shiva was shown.
