Juban Singh Bhide new Dist mining officer in Indore

Published on:

The State Government on Thursday  ordered the posting of Juban Singh Bhide as a new district mining officer in Indore.

The Pioneer in its issue of July 20, 2020 had published that Indore which is the business capital of Madhya Pradesh is functioning without district mining officer and due to the vacant post of the district mining officer illegally laden sand trucks coming from all over MP and crushed stones mines could not be checked thus creating a heavy loss of revenue to the Government.

Around 200 trucks of sand from nearby districts come daily to Indore in which many trucks are overloaded but they could not be checked. Presently also 3 mining inspectors and four home guards are looking after the checking of minerals of Indore district including sand trucks stone mines and other minerals. Due to the shortage of mining officers and home guards it takes a long time for the team to reach at the spot of illegal mining and excavation from the government land. Most of the illegal mining is still going on in the outskirts of Indore city.
