The Bhopal art lovers of the city will witness the colours and fizzy shades of Jharkhand. The Jharkhand Mahotsav 2017 will be organised at the multi art centre of the city Bharat Bhavan where the Bhopalites would experience the art and culture of Jharkhand.
The mega event will begin here from October 25 and will continue till October 31. It is noteworthy that the Jharkhand Mahotsav is organised by Bharat Bhavan and is a part of the event organised for every State of the country. The Jharkhand Mahotsav is all about folk dance, music, film screenings, and poets meet, plays and a well organized craft mela.
The Jharkhand Mahotsav will have a kick start on October 25 i.e. Wednesday with an exhibition of painting and sculptures by the artists of Jharkhand at Mordern Art Gallery of Bharat Bhavan.
Further on the same day, the renowned artist of Jharkhand Tapan Patnayak will give a Chhau Dance performance along with his troupe.
On the same day, Sanjeev Kumar Jha and Manish Kumar Jha will give a performance on Dhrupad and the first eve will get conclude with classical performance Sitar-Sarod jugalbandi by Kediya Bandhu.
Besides, from October 26 to 28, the Bhopalites will witness a variety of folk music and dance of Jharkhand. From Tabla recital to semi classical singing, the Bhopalites will experience the musical richness of Jharkhand.
Further on October 29, a poets meet will be held.
On October 30, play Madhyantar directed by Shiv lal Sagar will be staged. The event will conclude on October 31 with the play Sakaar Hota Sapna, directed by Ajay Malkani.
