Prior to the proposed Jan Ashirvad Yatra of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on July 22, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National Vice President Prabhat Jha will start a tour of the State.
Jha announced this in an informal interaction with media persons here at the State headquarters of BJP in the city on Friday. Jha said that he will start his trip one week before Chouhan’s Yatra to take stock of the preparations for his Yatra. Notably, Jha had accompanied Chouhan in the previous Yatra during last legislative campaign. He told that he will start his campaign from Mahakal Temple in Ujjain. Jha said that he will cover 229 assembly seats out of the total 230 seats in the State.
When prodded about the activeness of former Chief Minister Uma Bharti in the State, he steered clear of any controversy and said that she is national leader of BJP and it would be wrong to limit her in a particular state. “She is capable of guiding us, but we do not have the authority to direct her,” he said. Praising Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Jha said that he is the star campaigner of the party. “The party will definitely form government for third consecutive term under Chouhan’s leadership,” he said.
Replying to a query, he said that the road to Centre goes through the State. “I always listen to every view without worrying its relevance,” he said, adding that he will be at the beck and call of the party whenever required. “This is a war and there is a use of every person in a war,” he remarked.
