Gold and silver ornaments worth `2 lakh were burgled from Sharda Nagar under Gautam Nagar police station area on Tuesday.According to the police Ramesh Barele had gone out with his family and when they returned on Tuesday they found that the locks were broken and on entering the house it was found ransacked.
Victim found that along with the gold and silver ornaments cash was also taken away by the miscreants.A complaint was lodged with Gautam Nagar police and in the complaint the victim has claimed that the valuables including gold and silver ornaments were found missing. Cash `20,000 was also found missing.
In the complaint victim has claimed that around 30 gm of Gold ornaments and 1.5 kg of Silver were burgled. The total loss as claimed by the victim is around `2 lakh. The victim work as a contractor and has alleged that other than the valuables nothing was disturbed which suggests that someone acquainted or close to the family has tipped off regarding the schedule of the family which provided ample time for the miscreants to enter and escape easily.
The police have registered a case under section 457 and 380 of the IPC and have started further investigation. In the initial investigation nothing useful was found by the police but they have confirmed that the locals and relatives who were aware of the vacant house would be questioned.locals and neighbours have not witnessed any thing which could help in nabbing the miscreants.
