Janta sab janti hai, Chouhan tells Kejriwal via Twitter

Published on:

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Thursday taunted Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal, who opted for jail over furnishing a bail bond in a defamation case, saying “Janta sab janti hai (people know everything)”.

launching his scathing attack on the former Delhi Chief Minister, Chouhan tweeted twice on Thursday saying, “Mr Kejriwal Janta Sab janti hai. Stunts don’t work all the time."

In the next tweet, Chouhan said the goals that pass during life do not come back (Zindagi ke safar me gujar jate hain jo mukam, who fir nahin aate).

Soon after Chouhan’s tweets, (AAP) members started commenting on them. This encouraged the BJP supporters to take on them.

Political observers feel that these two tweets were against the nature of Chouhan as he seldom uses hard words, even against his opponents. He not only termed Kejriwal’s going to jail move as a drama, but also commented on his backtracking from the Delhi Government. On this, the AAP members criticised Chouhan and his Government. They raised the issue of lawlessness in MP, citing chain-snatching incident occurred with Chouhan's mother on Wednesday.

Former BJP chief Nitin Gadkari had filed the defamation case against Kejriwal for calling him “most corrupt”.

Kejriwal, appearing in court on Wednesday, had refused to furnish a bail bond, saying the case was politically motivated. A metropolitan magistrate sent him to Tihar Jail for two days.

Reacting to Chouhan’s tweet, AAP leader Ashutosh dubbed Gadkari's defamation case “a stunt” too. “The BJP also knows that Gadkari’s defamation case is also a stunt. BJP knows that Gadkari wasn’t made the party president again because he is corrupt,” he was quoted.
