Friday was the last day for withdrawal of applications by these claimants. Ten candidates have withdrawn their applications for the post of member in Zilla Panchayat.
Here in the Janpad Panchayat, the member of ward 12 has been elected unopposed. The interesting thing in this is that first three contenders had submitted application for the post of member, but on the day of withdrawal of names, all three decided to choose a member by picking up a slip in Hanuman temple.
Earlier, Krishna Rawat has also been elected unopposed from the post of Sarpanch in Adampur Cantonment, Gram Panchayat of Noda. No one had submitted any application against him from this Panchayat.
Lal Singh Gurjar of Bavdia Kala, Narendra Meena of Jamuniya and Rakesh Meena of Dangrauli had submitted applications for the post of member from Ward 12 of Janpad Panchayat Noda. All three of them mutually agreed on Friday, the last day of withdrawing their names.
After this a panchayat was called at Hanuman temple in Bansiya village. Senior members of Gram Panchayats were present in this. Then here, considering Hanuman ji as a witness, slips of the names of the three were put in a luck draw, one of these slips was picked up.
This slip turned out to be of Lal Singh Gurjar, a resident of Bavdia Khurd. In this way, Lal Singh has been selected for the post of member of ward 12 of Janpad Panchayat Noda. This decision has become an example in the Panchayat elections.
All the voters of the ward are very happy with this decision of the three. One has been chosen by mutual consent of all three. This saved the election expenses as well as the valuable time of voters and officials.
Inspired by the Chief Minister's call, now after Adampur Cantonment, the election of Sarpanch and Panchs of Gram Panchayat Damkheda and Mankhyai of Berasia , in Bhopal district has been declared unopposed. Sarpanch of Damkheda and all 17 Panch women have been elected.
