Just four days before the winter session of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly starting from December 19, the Vidhan Sabha Secretariat has denied entry of Jajpal Singh Jajji in the session as per an order issued in this regard. A staunch supporter of Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, Jajji was recently disqualified by the Gwalior Bench of the Madhya Pradesh High Court.

The court has declared the election of Ashoknagar BJP MLA Jajpal Singh Jajji void. A petition was filed in the court alleging that he had obtained a fake caste certificate.

The Gwalior Bench of the Madhya Pradesh High Court had ordered to nullify the election of MLA Jajpal Singh Jajji from Ashok Nagar assembly seat. The court termed Jajpal Singh Jajji's Scheduled Caste certificate as fake and along with nullifying the legislature, directed the police to register a criminal case against him for contesting from a seat reserved for Scheduled Castes on the basis of fake caste certificate.

Along with this, a fine of Rs 50 was also imposed. BJP leader Ladduram Kori, who lost against Jajji during the 2018 assembly elections, had filed this petition in the High Court. Then Jajpal Singh Jajji was in Congress and contested the election on Congress ticket and won.
