An altercation between two servitors of the Jagannath temple in Puri took a violent turn on Monday when one Suara Nijog servitor allegedly attacked a Jatri Sahayak servitor leaving hi injured. Reports said that Suara servitor Ramakrushna Khuntia and Jatri Sahayak Damodar Gochhikar indulged in a heated argument over some matter while the former was entering into the temple through Uttar Dwar (north gate) with Kuduas (earthen pots).
However, losing his cool Ramakrushna allegedly hit Damodar’s head with an earthen pot and injured him. Damodar was rushed to the District Headquarters Hospital.
