A play that was more than a satire and showcased the brutal reality of multinational corporate was brilliantly staged in city. The Hindi play ‘Jadoo Ka Suit’ was performed at Shaheed Bhavan here on Monday.
The play was directed by Devanshi Sinha and was wonderfully performed by the artists of Nat Bundele theatre troupe. According to the director of the play this play presented the cruel reality of corporate society and how people are fooled by the multinationals in the name of brands.
The play in an entertaining manner, explained its purpose of presentation. The light heart comedy was the interesting part of the play. This is not all but the light design and the music played a pivotal role in enhancing the acting and presentation of the artists on stage.
Another interesting fact of the play was that it was not only directed by a young director but also performed by the young artists. It is to be noted that as per an experiment the play was also performed before and received huge applauses.
The story of the play was kept simple yet captivating that made the audience glued to their seats. The story takes back the audience to an era where there was the power of the kings. But, this king was different. He was really fond of new clothes and never repeated his old clothes ever.
Three thieves plan to rob the king and so one day they enter his kingdom. They plan to fool the king and rob him. What happened next was watching worthwhile.
It was an interesting story to be staged before the audience as they enjoyed every bit of it.
