The patients in Jaya Arogya Hospital (JA Hospital) are facing shortage of pathology and free of cost medicines. However, the hospital authorities have declined to accept the allegations.

The patients are forced to go private pathologies to get their medical examinations conducted. The patients have also alleged that the officials of the JA hospital are supporting the private pathologies in order to get commission from the private labs.

SS Rawat, whose father was admitted in the ICU of the JA hospital said that he had to complete five tests of his father hence, hospital’s staff had recommended him Unique Pathologies lab. Employee of Unique Pathology, Balbeer had asked him to pay advance of `500 for the tests in new currency notes. Rawat did not have the cash, however, he managed to arrange it and then handed over `500 advance to Balbeer. Balbeer further asked Rawat to pay `1500 as the charges of all the respective tests. Rawat refused to pay the bill as the officials of the JA hospital had filled the form of the tests. later, the blood sample of Rawat’s father was sent to JA hospital as Rawat had refused to give money to the private pathology.

Most of the patients of the JA hospital have complained about the unavailability of medicines but the administration of JA hospital has refuted all the allegations and complaints of the patients.  Most of the patients have to purchase the medicines and injections from medical shops outside the hospital. Director of the JA hospital Dr JS Sikarwar has said that the entry of private pathology lab technicians is banned here. It might be possible that the patient called the private pathology technician. There is no lack of medicines or injections in the hospital.
