Only a day after Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had claimed that those involved in Ujjain train blast case were associated with the ISIS, Madhya Pradesh police on Thursday said that the links of the accused are being investigated.

While talking to media persons here on Thursday, IG (law and Order) Makrand Deuskar said that three accused nabbed by the MP Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) in connection with the Bhopal-Ujjain train blast were influenced by ISIS ideology. Their links with ISIS are still under investigation, he added.

Deuskar said that they learnt about bomb making from 'Inspire' magazine of ISIS and used the technique in the blast. Their module was same as that of the ISIS which clearly defined that they were influenced by the ISIS.The NIA and other agencies have been investigating the case and a decision to transfer the case by the NIA would be taken later, he added.

Replying to a question, he said that the object recovered from the spot had ISIS written over it but their connection with ISIS is under investigation.

In the further investigation the source of funding and handler who was technically sound would be investigated. Apart from arrest of three men involved in the blast no arrest has been made in Madhya Pradesh, but the number of suspect detainees was not shared by Deuskar.Deuskar made it clear that a lot of information has been obtained from the nabbed accused but the information has been provided to UP police for verification. Important information in this regard has been shared with the UP ATS, he added. It was found that the pictures of the blasts have been shared by the accused through different social networking with their ISIS handler in Syria which has to be further verified as the nabbed accused has revealed this information.
