A group exhibition featuring the paintings and sculptures by renowned artists of the State are being put up at Alliance Francaise de Bhopal’s Art Gallery. Organised by Alliance Francaise de Bhopal, the group exhibition Intuitively Connected was inaugurated by Jean-Raphaël PEYTREGNET; Consul General of France in Mumbai.
The exhibition began here from Wednesday and would be on view till November 20. As many as 10 artists from the State have put up their creations at the exhibition. Artists like Devilal Patidar, Seema Ghuraiya, Avadhesh Yadav, Basant Bhargav, Anil Gaikwad, Padmakar Santape, Prarthana Singh and Akhilesh and eminent sculptors like Neeraj Ahirwar and Anil Kumar put up their recent works at the exhibition.
Displaying as many as 25 works of these artists, the spectators could witness an interrelationship or connectivity between the perceptions of the artists. The colours spread over the canvas explained the mixture of various art forms and the shapes given to sculptures emphasized over the connection between the art and the perceptions of the artists.
Beautifully created art works enthralled the spectators at the gallery. Not only this, the spectators received a chance to have a close look at the various versions of art under one roof. The whole concept of the exhibition was taken from early Puranic Text ‘Vishnudharmottar Puran’. The Puran narrates the story of King Vraj who once approached sage ‘Markandeya’ with a request to build a temple for worship and he was asked to know about the different art forms like paint, dance and having a knowledge of instruments. In a nutshell the concept is all about having a placement of all art forms under one roof.
The visions of the artists are different and the expressions too but they share the same intuition to create their art works. This feature made the spectators at the gallery awestruck as they watched the blend of colours over the canvas and the formation of beautifully crafted sculptures placed at one place.
