It is noteworthy that SCD in India is primarily caused in tribes like Baiga, Bhariya and Sehriya. Sickle cell disease is a disorder of the blood caused by inherited abnormal hemoglobin which is the oxygen-carrying protein within the red blood cells.

The abnormal hemoglobin causes distorted (sickled) red blood cells. The sickled red blood cells are fragile and prone to rupture.

The patient can have short term life and can get prone to many blood related diseases as well. The tribals usually get this disease during their wedding rituals.

Globally, the said treatment of the disease is bone marrow transplant.

So, a discussion will be held in this seminar on how a person can be treated through natural way. The entire research is completed under the guidance of Dr Nanbishan.

Besides, during the programme the tribal patients including Baiga, Bhariya and Sahriya hailing from Mandala, Dindori, Anupur, Shahdol and Patalkot will be examined and will be given proper treatment.
