An International Music Festival Fête de la Musique will be organised in city on Saturday.
Organised by Alliance Francaise de Bhopal this festival is observed every year on June 21. Notably, this is an effort by Alliance Française de Bhopal to bring budding singers and musician play international music and sing songs in different languages on a single floor. It is also time for students to relax themselves after weeklong exams and welcome monsoon with this musical night, informed sources from Alliance Francaise de Bhopal.
This year professional singers Shashank who will play Rock Guitar and Jatin will play Western Classical Guitar from Concerto School of Music.
The festival is all about enjoying music and tapping one’s feet on its rhythm. Interestingly this festival is observed in across 460 cities in 110 countries including Germany, Italy, Egypt, SSyria, Fiji and more.
Notably, this festival encourages amateur and professional musicians to perform in the streets. The slogan Faites de la musique (Make music), a homophone of Fête de la Musique, is used to promote this goal. Moreover, many free concerts are organized, making all genres of music accessible to the public. Two of the caveats to being sanctioned by the official Fête de la Musique organization in Paris are that all concerts must be free to the public, and all performers donate their time for free.
