The school students of the city showcased their talent at the Inter-School Annual Science Quiz Contest 2018-19. The grand finale of the contest was held here on Monday at Regional Science Centre.
Regional Science Centre Bhopal in collaboration with Canara Bank Bhopal Circle has organised Interschool Annual Science Quiz Contest 2018-2019 for Middle and High school students. The preliminary rounds of quiz were initiated on January 21.
In all nine preliminary and three seminal rounds were conducted for each category during January 21 till February 1.
The Grand Finale for both the categories was conducted here on Monday. Under the grand finale various rounds of questions on physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics, general knowledge, visuals, Science of food, scientific legacy in India and more were conducted. Besides the general rounds, buzzer round and rapid fire rounds were also conducted.
In the prize distribution function Rahul Bhave, Deputy General Manager, Canara Bank, Bhopal Circle was the Chief Guest and appreciated the effort of Regional Science Centre for inculcating scientific temper amongst students. Shri Ashok Vyas, Public Relation Officer, Canara Bank, SP Singh, Branch Manger, Canara Bank, New Market were prominently present on the occasion. The dignitaries gave away the prizes, certificates and Trophies to the winners. The winners are as follows:
Exhibiting a brilliant performance Delhi Public School emerged as the winner of Middle School category. The team members were Rishabh Kothari and Rudra Bahal of grade eight.
The team of Carmel Convent School, Ratanpur emerged as runner-up.
Under High School category Hardik Gurudev and Devashish Kanhere of grade eight from Sharda Vidya Mandir, Neelbad. In this category Pranay Nair and Malhar Mandsaurwale from Carmel Convent Sr. Sec. School, Ratanpur was runner-up.
